Dear God,

Bless my heart that is hurting,
my heart that is longing.
Bring me home when I’m lost.
Humble me when I boast.

Bring back my smile,
when all I want is to quit and die.
Wipe my tears when I mourn,
because in this life there is always more.

You told me Your love is enough,
when all I wanted was to give up.
Satisfy my deepest desire.
In You I want to delight.

I’ll press on and finish this race,
because flowing in me is Your amazing grace.
I will not slow down my phase
until I see You face-to-face.

Though this is my first poem,
it is You who deserves the glory alone.
Jesus, I love You.
And I know You love me too.
